2010 OET - HIRE JOB/RESOURCE FAIRS SCHEDULE FOR JOB SEEKERS

 

The Louisville Office of Employment and Training (OET), a partner in the Kentuckiana Works One Stop at 6th and Cedar, presents a series of free JOB/RESOURCE FAIRS in conjunction with The Higher Income Requires Education Forum (HIRE), an affiliate of Greater Louisville Inc.

The dates and locations of the Fairs are as follows:

  • Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 12 pm until 4pm at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1101 South 3rd Street, Louisville, Kentucky, 40203
  • Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 10am until 2pm at Jefferson Community & Technical College, 109 East Broadway, Louisville, Kentucky, 40202
  • Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 10am until 2pm at Daymar College, 3309 Collins Lane, Louisville, Kentucky, 40245
  • Thursday, September 2, 2010 12 pm until 4pm at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1101 South 3rd Street, Louisville, Kentucky, 40203
  • Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 10am until 2pm at National College, 4205 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky, 40216
  • Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 10am until 2pm at Indiana Wesleyan University, 1500 Alliant Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky, 40299 TARC will provide FREE TRANSPORTATION.
  • Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 10am until 2pm at Daymar College, 3309 Collins Lane, Louisville, Kentucky, 40245

  • Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 10am until 2pm at Sullivan University, 3131 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40205 TARC will provide FREE TRANSPORTATION.

 

All Job/Resource Fairs are free and open to the public. Job seekers wishing to attend should bring copies of their resumes and dress appropriately for an interview. TARC will provide FREE TRANSPORTATION to and from the event 10am €“ 2pm. Pick-up drop-off locations will be OET 600 West Cedar, The Louisville Urban League 1536 West Broadway, The NIA Center 29th / Broadway and Goodwill Industries 332 West Broadway.

Below are instructions on how to use this site.

At www.oet.ky.gov, select job search and registration on the right side menu

Click on Job Search

For specific towns, click on Advance search on the left side Menu
Do no chose Occupation
Select city and type in the proper name of the city
Towards the bottom, select 50 or 100 results per page
Click on search
You will see all the jobs for that city, with the newest jobs on top, descending to the oldest jobs.
On the right side, select the different jobs you want to look at.
At the bottom click on View selected Jobs
Click on View Selected Jobs Again.  You will be able to view the job description the employer has provided.

For job orders that start with JE or MC and the paragraph does not provide a contact method, please use the How to Apply button at the bottom.

For job orders that start with KY, please go to the nearest Office of Employment and Training to get a referral letter.  Please do not use the How to Apply button.

To do job searches by occupation, click on Quick search on the left side Menu
Click on Occupation at the top
Do not open the folder
Click on the orange arrow next to the occupation you want to view
In the Zip Code block, type in the zip code.

You can chose a distance of 5 to 100 mile radius of the zip code.  This is not from the center but from the boundaries of the zip code.  25 miles of 40160 (Radcliff) will get you up to the river in Louisville and south of Senora.

Towards the bottom, select 50 or 100 results per page
Click on search
You will see all the jobs for that for the occupation with the newest jobs on top, descending to the oldest jobs.
On the right side, select the different jobs you want to look at.
At the bottom click on View selected Jobs.
Click on View Selected Jobs Again.  You will be able to view the job description the employer has provided.

You will see all the new jobs from yesterday and today, with the newest jobs on top, descending to the oldest jobs.
On the right side, select the different jobs you want to look at.
At bottom click on View selected Jobs.
Click on View Selected Jobs Again.  You will be able to view the job description the employer has provided.
